I received the you tube clip below in an email today. Being the skeptic I am I searched the Internet to make sure this was a correct portrayal. What I found was an updated version of the video and I also found CNN doing an interview with the gal who made the video.
The author is LaToya Egwuekwe and she is a grad student at American University. It shows the progression of unemployment from January 2007 to the present. It is amazing to watch the progression. The darker the color the higher the unemployment. As you watch it looks as though it is gobbling up our country. Starting at the states on the east and the west coast and then working its way to the middle.
I think this is the BIG STORY and I just don't understand why HEALTH-CARE has become the big story. Maybe someone can explain that to me! I found yesterday to be a sad day for our country and I feel like our freedoms are being usurped. All the polls show that the people did not want this big health-care bill but the people were not listened to. VERY SAD INDEED!!
