We recently took a vacation to Panama City Beach and I'm happy to tell you that that we saw NO tar balls. The beaches were pristine and beautiful. We had decided that we were going irregardless of whether the spill had affected the beaches as we knew summer tourism in the gulf coast was hit hard.
Beyond tourism the oil spill has hit our entire gulf coast area hard. I will be honest though I think the moratorium has hit almost as hard if not harder than the spill did. With the moratorium lifted it will be interesting to see if things will start getting back to normal. From what I hear even with the moratorium lifted it is going to be so hard to get drilling permits so the cycle continues. What do you think?
