Stone Lake is a samll country subdivision located to the west of Tomball TX, off Mueschke Rd. The subdivision has easy access to Hwy 290 to the west and SH 249 to the east. There are only about 75 home sites and they are all on acreage. Most appear to be on one to two acres but there are some that go up to as much as 8 acres.

The subdivision was developed in the early 2000's and there are only a few lots left to be built on. The homes range in size from 2500 square feet to 5500 square feet.

Many of the homes in the subdivision surround the lake. There are also quite a few that have horses. The subdivision is in the highly acclaimed Tomball ISD. As the area is growing it is getting harder to find newer subdivisions that allow horses in Tomball ISD. The elementary is Rosehill, the middle school is Tomball and the high school is Tomball High.

Homes sales are currently in the $215,000 to $435,000 range. The subdivision has a homeowner's association but is NOT in a MUD district. The tax rate is $2.56 per 100 home value. This helps to keep the property taxes fairly reasonable.
