Please join us on Wednesday April 15th2009 for a The Woodlands-Spring-North Houston Tax Day T.E.A Party (Taxed Enough Already!). After you drop off you IRS check at the Post Office stop by Rob Fleming Park in the newest Woodland Village (Creekside Village); located just south of S
pring Creek in Harris County. The tax day tea party is taking place from 5:00 to 9:00 PM but you may come and go at any time during that time period.
It will be a peaceful gathering to unite our voices and express our love for this great nation we live in and the principles it was founded on. Join your neighbors to let Washington know how you feel about filing your tax return and how the government is using your money! We want to let our politicians hear loud and clear that we are not happy with the wasteful spending that is going on. We are not happy with the bailouts and the push towards socialization. We want less Government not more!!!
Personally I think our forefathers would roll over in their grave if they saw what our government is doing. Our forefathers fought for our independence so we would not have heavy taxation, we would have free speech and a land for the free and the brave. If you want to be a part of history and exercise our right to free speech and the peaceful reclamation of our country then please join us April 15th at Rob Fleming Park.
If you would like to get involved with planning the event there is still time. Please go to this facebook page for more information about the event. You may also visit the website at http://www.teapartynorthhouston.org/ or email at thewoodlands.teaparty@gmail.com.
Planning meetings will take place on April 6th and April 13that the Creekside Pavilion. There are numerous committees and you can plug in to one of them and
add your talents.
The tea party is taking place at the Craftsman Style Pavilion in Rob Flemings Park at Creekside Village Park in The Woodlands. Please note this is taking place at the newest village which is located in Harris County. Creekside Village is located between Gosling and Kukendahl. If you are coming from Gosling you will go west on Creekside Forest. If you are coming from Kuykendahl you will go east on Creekside Forest. From what is typically considered The Woodlands you will need to go south and cross the bridge either at Kukendahl or Gosling. If you are going north in Harris Country towards The Woodlands and you get to the bridge you have went too far.
I have had a number of phone calls about the directions so I am adding a map. This is not going to be on Google maps as the road is fairly new.

Get involved! It's time to take back America. If you would like to contact me directly to hear more all my contact information is below.

Hi Marchel,
Thank you so much for this info. I first heard about it from another friend in TX, and I'm in. It's about time some of us (me included) spoke up!
Lynda, I totally agree. I heard about the tea parties here on the rain and went to a facebook page and then found the one local to me who just happened to be planning a tea party.
We do need a tea party. I am right here in New Hampshire and as I recall the big "tea party" was right next door in Boston Mass. This sounds like a great event.
Joan, I tried to find picture representations of that tea party but drew a dead end. I thought I could just type in tea party and something would pop up but all that popped up were actual tea parties.
Marchel, well, if I only lived closer! I lived in MA as a child, my family is from there. So that whole tea party thing is close to my heart, LOL.
Marchel you said, "I think our forefathers would roll over in their grave ------" I drove by George and Martha's place the other day and the mausoleum appeared to be rockin' . Seriously, I wish there was a tea party close to us, Karen
Marchel,
It is time to let our voice be heard!
ANDREA, You should check and see if there is a tea party near you. I ran across an Active Rain article that gave a facebook page and that was how I found out about this tea party. It just so happened that I found out when they were forming.
KAREN, I'm sure living where you do it makes it even more real to you. You should check facebook to see if one is forming in your area.
CYNTHIA, I debated on putting this on but it is a non-partisan group so decided to go for it. We do need to let our voices be heard!!
I am going to one in Lansing, MI with a bunch of Keller Williams agents on the 15th. Time to stand up or shut up. I'll get lots of photos and you do too so we can share.
Can't wait 'til the 15th to join with hundreds of Texans to express our freedom of speech. I plan to come to the next meeting to see how I might help. Every American that loves this country, and understands how important it is that we take our country back, needs to get involved and stop just talking about it but stay the course, whatever it takes, and let Washington know we have had enough.
Marchel, I wish we had calm, peaceful meetings here. Yours sounds wonderful and although we try to speak up here, unfortunately no one is listening. I'm sure you'll have better luck!
MISSY, We will have to compare notes. We are planning this one very fast but getting a lot of participation.
BUTCH, We can use all the help we can get as this is being planned very fast. I have been impressed with how it is taking off though.
CAROLE, I expect it to be fairly calm and peaceful although we do have people that feel passionate but that is different than getting violent.
Marchel,
With digital photography, this tea party will be much better documented than the first! LOL
Mike in Tucson
Hi Marchel: There's been talk of organizing a T.E.A. Party in Brevard County....it's such a big county - 72 miles long, one would not be enough. Anyway, I think it's time for WE, the people to speak out loudly. These people in Washington are OUT OF CONTROL!!!!
Marchel - What a GREAT idea! I think we need to make this T.E.A. Party a NATIONAL event!
Hi Marchel, I strongly agree that our forefathers would turn over in their graves. I have thought the same thing many times. It's time to take back America... I like the sound of it. Hope you have a huge turnout.
MIKE, I tried to find cartoon pictures depicting that first tea party and could not.
GAIL, Harris County here in Houston is the same HUGE. We have at least two tea parties taking place one in Houston and the other up north in The Woodlands but it is actually taking place in Harris County also.
MYRL, I think it is becoming a national event. The movement has started!!!
SHIRLEY, What is happening now is what our forefathers were getting away from when they broke with England. It is time to make our voices heard.
Nice post. We are organizing a small tea party in my hometown. We only have 40,000 people here but I have a feeling it will go over well.
