Sights and Sounds from The Woodlands Tax Day Tea Party!!

It has been several days since our Woodlands Tax Day Tea Party and I have been amazed at the enthusiasm that is ongoing! We were not sure what to expect and thought if we had 2000 to 3000 people that would be a Very Good response. We were blown away when to our best estimates about 7500 people showed up! Chick-fil-A was providing food and had to bring in food 4 or 5 times from all the Chick-Fil-A's within our area. I have provided some additional photos of our event! We were blessed with wonderful weather which of course helped to contribute to the HUGE turnout.

I titled this sights and sounds.  To hear the sounds please go to this Woodlands Tax Day Video that was produced by two of our local children.  This video is by Dalton 8 and Justin 12 talking about their inheritance.  This is just the beginning our next Tea Party is scheduled for July 4th but it looks like we might need to find a bigger location.

Hi Marchel, that is a lot of people, wow. The ones up here were not quite so well attended, LOL. But, we are reserved Yankees, even if we did have the first tea party. What can I say.

Marchel - thanks for the report and the link to the kids video. One thing really stuck out from there

My parents will not increase my allowance if I don't do my chores!.

How appropriate!

ANDREA, Our weather helped to make this a HUGE success.  I must say that we were blown away at the number of people who showed up.  It was fun to be with like minded people.

Nice post, Marchel.  Now, if we can just keep the pressure on the clowns on the Hill, we might get somewhere. :)

What puzzles me about these tea parties is that they all seemed to have taken place in public parks, and the participants seemed to have driven there on public thoroughfares or taken public transportation, all created with tax dollars and maintained by tax dollars. I think that some people aren't thinking.

I also wonder where all these tea partiers were when Bush was spending trillions of dollars invading foreign countries the past eight years. I guess it's all in one's perspective....

Our biggest Tea Party out here was about 3,000 over in Oceanside, but I think I saw where we had five Tea Parties with about 7,000 participants, according to "organizers," about 5,000 according to police and crowd control experts.

JESSE, It was a great time by all.  The excitement is still carrying on.

JIM, The TEA parties were not just about taxes they were more about the run away spending and bail outs that are going on.  It was a very patriotic event about the love of our country and our freedom.  Our speaker were all very uplifting.

True Patriotism is speaking out regardless of political correctness. The demonization of our first amendment rights is frightening.
