One of the things I love about living in Spring TX are the wonderful day trips you can take. I will have to be honest this particular day trip was taken by our daughter but after seeing her pictures we are planning on making the trek. Our daughter went to Brazos Bend State Park with a Houston Photography group.

She had so many pictures this is going to be part 1 in a series. I think I could call this one Birds and Water Lilies.

Absolutely beautiful! These pictures are incredible. Looks like talent runs in the family!
Hi Marchel, WOW!! I love the photos, they are just beautiful. I can see why you would want to make the trek to Brazos Bend State Park! I love the way you have the slide show in your post- how did you do that? Between the terrific pictures of the birds, and the flowers, I can't even pick a favorite - they are all stunning!
Marchel, I watched it go round 3 times I was so mezmorized! Tell your daughter those are wonderful. I will be looking for the next set!
Howdy there Marchel
I sure would be willing to bit, theres some mighty fine Bass hangen out under them there Lilie pads. And theres got to be some big Bull Fogs near by also.
Thank you kindly, to you and your daughter. For the mighty fine photos to look at.
God Bless Texas!
Your daughter has an artist's eye--wonderful photos. I'm ready for the next set.
Marchel, Great photos! I love the lilly pads and the Spanish Moss hanging from the trees! Those were just my favorites, but they were all great! I can't wait for the next series!
Marchel,
Blessings on your day!! Your daughter has truly blessed us. Great Job!!
Marchel, like Mother like Daughter! Not only stimulating pictures but also a captivating presentation. Show us your pictures too after you visit in person, okay? Kate Ford
Marchel, I like the sequencing of the photos and the crane way up high in the tree.
Marchel
There you go again doing those great naturalist east texas photos yoiu are so good at! Isn't it fun?
JOAN, She does have an artist eye. It is good she is using the graphic art degree for something (lol).
MARY, I'm looking forward to visiting Brazos Bend State Park myself. I have to give the credit for the animation to Myrl Jeffcoat. She wrote an animation blogging post.
ANDREA, The next set are quite spectacular also. She got some great alligator shots.
DALE, I'm sure there was lots of nature sounds to go along with the pictures. I will know more once I get to visit myself.
NORMA, I'm glad she is still using the graphic art degree for something. She does have an artist eye.
TONY and DARCY, The next series has lots of alligators. I had no idea those big gators even lived in Texas.
ALICE, I love going through her pictures. She has over 6000 on flickr.
KATE, It will be interesting to see how mine turn out. She has a better handle on the camera settings but it will be fun to take them with her as I can learn from what she does.
GARY, The sequencing had as much to do with what I named the picutres as they got placed alphabetically but I did notice that it fit.
TREY, I'm loving nature in east Texas!!
Very pretty pictures Marchel. Of course, being an Arizona boy, I can't handle the humidity coming from those swamps. I was in Houston once and I thought I would die.
But speaking of swamps-- I do love me some crawdads!
I went to Brazos Bend State Park with my marketing guru back in 1995 or so. He also took me to the Texas A&M-LSU football game that weekend, where I think the temperature in the stadium was 100° with 100% humidity. I didn't last through the first quarter. I went back to our air conditioned hotel room and left all those idiots standing -- standing! when there were seats available -- in the hot sun watching a stupid football game where the players didn't get paid anyways!
Brazos Park is one of our great secrets, I love the observatory. A great place to take guests, on a clear night!
Hi Marchel,
Wow, these are amazing photos, and what a neat place. BTW, just cruised over here after your latest post. Great shots!
