Wordless Wednesday - Is this a meal flight? Yawn! Yawn!

Elle in Spring TX

Elle Spring TX

This is Wordless Wednesday with words as this picture needs to be explained.  This is our daughter's cat Elle.  Our daughter is a flight attendant for a Charter company flying Internationally so Elle lives with us as our daughter is flying around the world.  Our daughter commutes and so she gets to see Elle quite a bit.

Our other cat Calvin has always had a favorite chair but as I was retiring this bag Elle decided to make it her favorite suitcase.  I just think it is appropriate that our daughter's cat would pick a suitcase as her bed (lol). I make a good surrogate Mom but as soon as our daughter comes home Elle knows who she belongs to or should I say who belongs to her.  As you can tell Elle doesn't skin any meals!

Marchel,

Cute picture even without the explanation. Very nicely done. :)

Hi Marchel, If Elle gets to fly she might have to pay the exta fee for poundage!  So cute that she has chosen the suitcase :-)

Too funny Marchel, a meal flight? No way. Those lousy nuts and piece of cracker would barely sustain even the kitty, lol. Even if she did like them which is doubtful.

Hi Marchel, Tell Elle that they have eliminated meals on flights.  I don't know about overseas flights, though... if not, she could get pretty hungry on those flights.

This cat reminds me of garfield... Big and just laying around thinking of food!!!

LOL, that is one fat cat, and looks quite comfy. What a cutie!

KAREN, Rotund is a good name to describe Elle!!

STEVE, She loves her suitcase bed and so appropriate with her owner being a flight attendant.

MARY, I'm thinking that extra poundage might cost her extra.

WILLIAM, Elle would not be crazy about nuts and crackers.  She does love to eat though.

SHIRLEY, Continental Airlines still provides meal flights although they do seem a little small.  I think it depends on how far you fly as to how much you get.

CARON, When my daughter went to look at her as a kitty Garfield was who the owner used to describe her.

ANDREA, She can be sweet when she feels like it.  I keep asking my daughter how she gave Elle her personality (lol).

Elle just wants to take a trip and heard rumors that people sleep on flights. LOL

Marchel, your daughters cat is almost as wide as she is long ..... LOL

There is no doubt that this cat is never late for a meal :) :)

Elle and my Duffy would make beautiful fat and happy babies, if my Duffy could still make babies...=o) They are pretty close to twins, but I think he has a few lbs. on her...he is 15 tons of love!

Marchel - Elle is living the good (and pampered) life in Spring Texas!  I love the color of that cat!  If I had it, it's name would be "Rhubarb."

RICHARD, Cat's have their own minds.  I think that is what I love about them.  You don't own them they own you.

JOHN, She knows when our daughter is getting ready to leave.  She won't have anything to do with her that afternoon.  As soon as she flies back in all is forgiven.

GEORGE, We tried to put her on a diet by giving her wet food but it made her so cranky that she is back on dry food.  We also had a problem with our other cat Calvin gaining weight on her diet. (lol)

You know what Marchel?  I think EVERYONE in your family including the pets just KNOW they have to stay posed (even while asleep), just in case one of you will snap 'em up with that always ready and aimed camera!

Marchel,

It looks like this guy likes to nap in odd places...

Ellie's a lucky cat. She's got the best of both worlds, two moms. I've got two cats, too. I'm so glad I don't have dogs. My cats are funnier than any dog would be, and I don't have to walk around the yard picking up after them, just sift the sand, and out it goes! As far as missing meals, Oscar has finally gotten used to his new digs, and is back on his feed, big time! He weighs about 15 lbs...mostly muscle, very firm; I don't know why he's not fat.

She looks pretty comfy on that bag!  Does she fly "overhead"? :-)

MONIQUE, Fat and happy describes Elle.  She is happily sleeping beside me right now.

CHERYL, Elle is at 16 pounds.  We put her on a diet but all that happened out of it was our male cat gained weight.

MYRL, Elle has ALWAYS had a pampered life.  She came from a litter that ruled the roost in the house they lived in and then made it to our daughter and to us.  She figures that we live to serve her.

DIANE, Our daughter comes home about once a month now but when she first got on as a flight attendant she did not come home much.  One day I followed Elle the whole day with a camera to send the pictures to my daughter.  By the end of the day Elle was giving me annoyed looks (lol).

ANN, Elle sleeps in odd places and strange configurations.  I didn't believe our daughter when she said she slept on her back with all paws in the air but now that she lives with us I can attest to her sleeping on her back with all paws in the air (lol).

MARIANNE, I do love cats.  We also have one dog to go along with our two cats.  He is a fairly new member to the family.  We got him very shortly after our Abby died earlier this year.  The two cats were not pleased.  Elle hid under the bed for about 3 weeks.  She is totally over it and both cats have let Dundy know that they are boss and he better stay in his place.

SILVIA, I'm afraid that they would not allow her overhead as she might break the overhead bins (lol).

That's funny!  Annoyed?  Were you using flash?  BTW - your NAME has been added to the Google spell check dictionary!  Have a good weekend!

Marchel,

My dog does the spread eagle thing too.  It cannot be comfortable.

Marchel - This is and adorable fat cat...lol. I suppose it is no surprise that she is at home in the suitcase.

Those pictures are just too cute!  Elle must be quite a character....love the way she scrunches her ears down in order to fit into the suitcase.

Posted by Judy Kincaid over 10 years ago

Hi Marchel - Our cats know that when the suitcases come out, they are going to have their mom and dad go away for a night or two, and they start trying to get in the suitcase.  I con't count the number of times I've had to lift cats out of the suitcase while I'm trying to pack!  At least Elle has her very own suitcase! Pretty cute.

Very cute picture!  My husband is a pilot and our 3 cats jump into his suitcase constantly while he is trying to pack for his next trip.  I bet they wouldn't actually enjoy the airplane ride much if they were packed in the bag!

So, you haven't had any flying-fur-fights? If you can meld them all together without all that fighting and stuff, then you're good!

Posted by Marianne Snygg, ABR, ASP, GRI, SFR (ERA Herman Group Real Estate) over 10 years ago

Marchel,

I am loving your dog and cat photos. Way too cute for words. Just picked up my son's dog, not we have 3. It's crazy around here, but boy I am a sucker for cute pets.

DIANE, I did us a flash for this picture.

ANN, This cat gets in the goofiest positions.  I use to think my daughter was being overly dramatic about her positions but she was not!

JENNIFER, She is an adorable cat, when she is not hungry.  You should have seen her on a diet.  We finally gave that idea up.  The only that happened with her diet was that our male cat gained weight.

JUDY, Elle is quite that cat.  She sleeps beside me on the couch every evening; which is where she is right now.

SUSAN, Elle knows when our daughter is getting ready to leave.  She sees the suitcase comes out and loses all interest in our daughter (lol).  I guess it is her way of saying I'm mad at you.

IRENE, I'm sure that Elle would not enjoy a plane ride.  She throws a fit going to the Vet and that's only a few miles from the house.

MARIANNE, Nope no flying fur fights but we do have a few cat fights.  Our male likes to pull Elle's pig tails (lol).

WENDY, Life would be lonely without our cute pets.

What a great photo.  I miss my kitty. :)  That's hilarious that she chose the suitcase.  Maybe she's trying to give your daughter a hint. :)
