Speechless Sunday - Rippling Reflections!!

Rippling Reflections

Our daughter took this picture while she was on vacation in Vienna.  I know what the white object is; only because she told me. Now it is your turn; name that picture!  Maybe you will be more successful than I was.

Marchel,  My guess would also be a swan.

Posted by Gary Coles Latin America Real Estate (Venture Realty International) about 2 years ago

My first thought was a swan or a duck.

Possibly a wee toy swan?

Is it a duck or a swan with its head tucked under its wing?  The blue water is beautiful.

Posted by Shirley Parks, Broker 210-414-0966 San Antonio TX Homes for Sale (Sands Realty 210-414-0966) about 2 years ago

Hey Marchel,

Since it's a reflection, could it be the moon or something in the sky?

Posted by Orange Co. Real Estate~Lynda Eisenmann, Broker-Owner, CRS,GRI,SRES, Brea, CA (Preferred Home Brokers) about 2 years ago

Marchel, very cool photo!  The effect of the ripples on the reflections is really nice!

Posted by Debra Walsh Hudson Valley NY Real Esta 845.294.8800 (Keller Williams Realty Goshen, NY - Realtor) about 2 years ago

Hi Marchel, It certainly looks like a swan with its head tucked back. I certainly can't think of anything else with a neck that long, :-)

My guess would be a swan too, but then someone could have tossed a white paper bag too...

Posted by Michael Thornton - Nashville, TN area Home Inspector - 615.661.0297 (Complete Home Inspections, Inc.) about 2 years ago

A swan was my first guess. But after "analyzing" its size with the trees, etc. I'm guess it's much smaller. Maybe a crumpled piece of paper?

Must be a hat from someone looking over the bridge to the water.

Posted by Gene Allen Realtor Hampton Roads Real Estate (Resh Realty Group) about 2 years ago

That's a work of art there. Looks like a flower petal to me but don't know if that would give such a ripple.

Posted by Steve Kappre | NMLS# 217008 NJ Mortgage Loan Officer | 856-419-3561 (Treasury Mortgage | Mortgage Company - New Jersey) about 2 years ago

Can't tell what is in the water....but it's a really good photo with the trees in the background.

Gorgeous photo. Is it a swan? thank you for sharing this with us! Let us know what that white creature is!

Posted by Eileen Hsu 許小姐 Manhattan NY Real Estate (Prudential Douglas Elliman) about 2 years ago

Hi, For those of you that guessed swan; you are correct.  My daughter tells me it is a swan with its head tucked under its wing. Personally I still can't see it but I've never been great at guess the picture.  To me it looked like a little statue of a unicorn (lol).

Posted by Marchel Peterson Spring TX Real Estate E-Pro (Results Realty) about 2 years ago

I thought a Swan also but it looks small must be in the distance.

So cold and shivery looking - a swan is my guess.

Posted by Sue Neff, Principal Broker, Jamestown, TN (Tennessee Recreational Properties) about 2 years ago

DEBORAH, I think gum is a good guess as I still don't see the swan.

MARY, Yes it is a swan with its head under its wing.

GARY, Your guess of a swan is right but I still don't see it (lol).

MARY, It is a swan good guess.

JANEANN, When my daughter told me it was swan I asked if it was real.  It does look like a toy to me.  Although to me it looked like a toy unicorn.

RAY, I think her pictures are beautiful.  She truly has the eye!!

SHIRLEY, BINGO!  It is a swan with its head tucked under its wing.

Posted by Marchel Peterson Spring TX Real Estate E-Pro (Results Realty) about 2 years ago

LYNDA, It is a swan but as hard as I look I still have trouble making it out.

TONY, I love the ripple with the reflections of the trees.  It is quite the unique picture.

JOHN, You are correct it is a swan.

DARREN, A swan it is!

DEBRA, It is a swan but with its head under its wing.  I'll bet it was cold.

WILLIAM, You have a good eye.  I keep looking at it and truly have problems seeing the swan.  I'm thinking I need to pull it up on our desktop to see if I can see it there.

MICHAEL, A white paper bag makes more sense to me than a swan but our daughter tells me it was a swan.

Posted by Marchel Peterson Spring TX Real Estate E-Pro (Results Realty) about 2 years ago

LOREENA, It is a swan but I'm with you it could as easily be a crumpled piece of paper.  I guess that would not make ripples like the swan did though.

GENE, I see the hat better than I see the swan (LOL) but it is a swan.

STEVE, It would make a nice flower petal but that would not make a ripple like a swan does.

ROB, I thought it was a very COOL photo also.

EILEEN, It is a swan with its head tucked under its wing.

TERRY, It does look small for a swan but it was taken at a distance and is a swan.

Posted by Marchel Peterson Spring TX Real Estate E-Pro (Results Realty) about 2 years ago

CAROLE, I love pictures of water and I love pictures of trees.  Putting the two together makes for a great picture.

IRENE, I'm glad to hear that someone else can't see the swan.  I need to pull it up on a PC and see what it looks like.

GEORGE, Your guess is right, a swan it is!

JANE, I can see the flower petal and the hat but I'm still having problems seeing the swan (lol).

ANN, I love sitting beside water.  We are sailers and it is so relaxing sitting on the boat letting the wind blow us and watching the water.

JUDI, She has a degree in Graphic design so does have the design vent.  She is now an International flight attendant.  I told her she should get her masters in Photography but she said she doesn't want to ruin something she loves.  She came out of her graphic design classes totally burnt out on design.

DIANE, A swan it is but I'm not sure if it is a young swan.  Shoot I'm still having problems seeing the swan.

SUE, It must have been cold to put its head under its wing.

Just a great photo with the colors, the ripples, and the total effect. Very nicely done. :)

I love it and thankfully birds are made for that cold weather, I guessed duck or swan.

Excellent photo.

STEVE, I think my daughter takes great photos and as a proud Mom I love showcasing them.

JOHN, I love reflections also.  I just posted my own reflection picture of Lake Conroe a few weeks ago.  This one is my daughters but I think she has me beat.

TREY, I'll be honest I still don't see the swan.  A diaper makes more sense to me (lol) but a swan it is.

ANN, When we lived in NC we backed to a little lake.  I sure wish I would have had a digital camera back then.

ROBERT, I love the water we have a sail boat and there is nothing more relaxing.

MELISSA, Thanks for the re-blog.  I think our daughter takes GREAT pictures and so love sharing them. I had to ask her what it was though and to be honest I still have trouble seeing that swan.  I guess it must have been cold to have its head under its wing.

BILL, It is a swan and I also love the way the water ripples with the trees reflecting.

JOAN, In this case it is a creative daughter!  She has always done her own thing; even with pictures!

CYNTHIA, I'm a proud Mama but I do think that our daughter takes some COOL pictures!

JENNIFER, I truly think she has a gift.  I told her she should consider getting an MA in photography but she told me that she hated to ruin something she loved.

REBECCA, I have to admit I have trouble seeing the swan. I need to look at it on our desktop.

ROBERT, Thanks for featuring my daughters photo.  I'm obviously a proud Mama!

RUSSELL, I can see the McDonald's napkin better than I can see the swan.

DEBI, I think she did an awesome job also but coming from you that' quite a compliment.

SHARON, I guess I need to pull this up on my desktop because I'm having problems seeing that orange beak.

SHOSHANA, I'm still looking for the swan but I love the ripples and the trees.
