This picture is actually from last years Lake Conroe Sailing Association boat parade as this years parade was canceled due to much needed rain. With the 4th being on a Sunday this year it was supposed to have taken place yesterday morning but we still had remnants from Hurricane Alex. Marchel- I spent many weekends fishing at Lake Conroe. Sorry it was canceled but glad Houston did not have Hurricane Alex for a July 4th guest!
I was actually IN the boat parade one year ... man, we had a blast! Now where, oh, where did those photos get to. Yup! we decorated the boat and we all had costumes ... it was waaay too much fun!
Marchel, that is one thing I miss about my hometown (Conroe)... the lake!

PATRICIA, We did not get to have the parade but we did get to sail our boat over to Sam's Boat for lunch with our son and his girlfriend. We were skipping through storms and thanks to our sons new Evo phone we were able to watch the storms pass over and waited until we had some clearing to make it back to the Yacht club. You have to LOVE technology!

Marchel, our parade was rained out as well. It was a different sort of July 4th but very pleasant because cool weather has been in short supply lately.
