The 3rd Annual Tomball German Christmas Market will be taking place on December 11th and 12th. The 19thCentury saw a big influx of immigrants from Germany and Austria to the Tomball area. They created a community and this is the time to come and celebrate the German heritage that flows through the area. This market is a recent addition to German festivities in the Tomball area.
The unique music/street festival and open air market will take place in the historic downtown section of Tomball, near the 200 block of Main street (FM 2920) and Market Street. The wonderf
ul thing about this German Christmas market/festival is that it is FREE!! Admission to the event and parking are both free of charge.
The market itself is estimated to have 120 vendors that will line Market and Walnut street. They will be selling arts, crafts and of course German Christmas items plus much more.
Three stages of live music. Alpenfest, Chris Rybak and others, German Folk and Christmas music all day long. A Texas Music Stage has been added this year. The German tent and music stage will be located near 200 Market Street. The tent will also house the German beer garden. There will be lots of entertainment with street music makers and thing for kids.
Speaking of kids there will be a Kinderfest (kid's area. This will include carnival rides, bungee-jumping, petting zoo, bounce houses. There will also be a hayride and a Christmas lights tour.
You won't want to miss the lighting of the TomballCity Christmas tree and the unveiling of a new bronze statue. It always amazes me with our warm temperatures that we can have an ice skating rink but somehow Toball is making ice skating happen.
As I mentioned earlier the very cool thing about all of this is that it is FREE!!!

This sounds like a fun and very festive event! if I were closer, would definitely check it out.
Sounds like fun to me. Is it from 10-5 or so each day?
Hi Marchel,
Wow, this sounds like a really big Christmas event for Tromball,TX. What fun, I'd love to see this one myself if it was going on in my neck-of-the-woods.
Hi Marchel, I would bet this is going to be great fun. It may not be that cold but it will be cool enough and with a lttle Hot Cider or Cocoa, will be very festive.
Hi Marchel! That sounds like so much fun and it's wonderful there is no charge for admission!
Looks like a great event to attend and the opportunity to pick up some nice Christmas gifts. We just had the Wurstfest over here in New Braunfels Texas and was a big event that brought folks in from all over the country.
Sounds like a good way to celebrate to me; I hope you are able to attend and enjoy the festivities, Marchel.
SUSAN, This event is fairly new but I'm planning on checking it out. I bought the cutest yard art from the spring event so no telling what I will find.
JONI, I guess I forgot to write the times. It is from Sat 10 am - 9 pm Sun 10am-6pm. If you decide to come let me know. I'm thinking about going on Sunday as my husband works on Sunday. I would love to have someone to go with.
LYNDA, I have not visited the Christmas event but have enjoyed the spring event and plan on checking it out this year.
WILLIAM, I love warm weather so it is just fine if it is not cold. We moved here December 23rd 1996 and were putting stuff away in short sleeves. It works for me!!
Marchel-That sounds like a very nice event. By the way, I just took a look at your outside Blog and the link you have that's marked "Search the MLS". That is an awesome arrangement. Very nicely done.
Hi Marchel,
Scott and I both have a lot of German ancestry. I would love it if we had a German Christmas market around here. It sounds great.
