Lake Conroe Sailing Association has started their racing season. We had the first Thursday night race this last Thursday. We keep our sailboat on the other side of the lake at Conroe Yacht Club so for the Thursday night race my husband crews and I help on the committee boat.
If these pictures don’t make you want to come and join us I don’t know what will. We will have Thursday night races from now until September. The races start at 6:00 PM at the lighthouse in front of Seven Coves . Come join us!!
One last note you do not have to live at the lake to sail at the lake. We live on the border of Spring/Tomball and it is an easy commute to the lake for the Thursday night race.

Hi Marchel! I'd definitely be there EVERY Thursday night! What gorgeous photos and what a fun way to spend a Thursday evening.
Ooooooohhh..
Marchel,
We have a trip to the beach coming up next month, and I am SO looking forward to being on the water. Not a sailor, but I will get into some spray....
Lovely photos!
Marchel, you're very lucky - that looks like loads of fun! Thanks for sharing your beautiful slideshow with us...I especially loved that red and white lighthouse...and the sunset photo! :)
Marchel - what a gorgeous slide show! I miss the water all the time. I love the mountains, but there is nothing like being on the water.
Wow Marchel....what awesome photos. Simply awesome.
Marchel - love your photos - what's more majestic than a good old fashion sailboat regatta?!
That sound like fun, and your photos are wonderful.
Chris
Oh my goodness! Those photos are fantastic! I want to come just to take pictures!!
DEBE, It was so much fun to get back on the water after a LONG WINTER!
MIKE, We just got in to sailing when we moved here 14 years ago and have loved it. Now I'm more recreational but my husband loves the racing. If there's two sailboats on the water they think they are racing.
LEILANI, The lighthouse always makes for a good picture. Our start/finish line was on the opposite side of the lighthouse this time so the only boat I could get was a motorboat.
MIMI, I miss the mountains but not enough to put up with snow (lol). The water was always so darn cold there; we never even considered sailing.
LARRY, Thank you! The sun was cooperating that evening. Today is dreary, dreary, dreary!
KRISTINA, These are just fun Thursday night races but it gives the sailors practice for the regattas. We have a lot of new sailors so they were trying to ask us questions about the start sequence but our instructions were to stay mum (lol) as they have been given instructions. Getting in there and doing it is how you learn.
CHRIS, Thanks! It is a lot of fun. Now on the committee boat we set out the marks and then bring out the wine and cheese.
JONI, Our club is open to anyone who wants to join. You don't have to have a sailboat.
Marchel... I so want to go sailing! There's nothing in the world like cruizing along the water via wind power. Great photos!
Marchel, happy sailing. I hope you and your husband have a long and enjoyable season.
Hi Marchel, this makes me miss Miami. I used to sail with friends and we so enjoyed. It is so peaceful and beautiful. Enjoy it this year.
Marchel,
It is too cold here to be out on the water...
