Creekside Park, The Woodlands Grand Opening Event Oct. 20th, 2007

The public grand opening of Creekside Park will be taking place Saturday October 20th from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM in Rob Fleming Park.  Rob Fleming Park is a 20 acre park with a Craftsman style Lodge, tree lined promenade, children's playground, wildlife sculpture trail and a trailhead to the George Mitchell Nature Preserve.

Creekside Park is located just south of Spring Creek between Gosling and Kuykendahl in Harris County.  The main entrance is located on Gosling Road.

This will be a free fun family celebration.  There will be tethered hot air balloon rides, rock climbing walls, Kayaking, Fishing lessons, children's crafts, face painting, petting zoo, mini sailboat regatta at Rob Fleming Pond and more.   

The events include a free concert from 3:00 to 6:00 with the Music from Kerrville - an Outdoor Family experience starring Michael Martin Murphy and the Heartland Cowboys.  Floyd Domino and the Western Swing All Stars with Special Guest Star Mandolin Virtusos, Paul Glasse - Teri Hendrix Quartet.

You won't want to miss the Showcase of Homes in the Gated Community of Carlton Woods Creekside from Sat. Oct. 13th to Sunday October 28th 2007.

Mike, thanks for stopping by.  I will be looking for your historic area photos.  I love historic areas but in our area the oldest home would be the late 1960's; and there are not many of those.

Lee, I did go to the Carlton Woods Showcase of homes but I did not get to attend the grand opening event at Creekside.  I was showing shomes that day.  I have been through some of the model homes and they are very nice.
