This is your opportunity to come out and spend a day with a VET. I know that we often think of our Vietnam Veterans but they have Veterans from all our recent wars going back to World War II.
The barbeque is being hosted by the Houston area chapter members of Rolling Thunder and the Rotary Club of Sharpstown.

What a great event Marchel...especially just after celebrating Independence Day!! Its good that you are spreading the word about this. I hope it gets a lot of support.
Marchel, what a neat idea. I hope the weather cooperates for the days events.
Marchel, this sounds like a great program for our vets who are having problems and/or need some help.
Marchel, this may be a trip I'll have to come down for! What an awesome way to thank our veterans..we owe them so very much. Thanks for posting this!
Marchel, you being a mother of one on Active duty, I know you can appreciate it. People will be attracted not only for the Vets, but for that fine BBQ you all serve down there.
Howdy Marchel
I sure do hope lots of folk's show up this weekend, to spend the day with my brother ans sister Vet's.
KIMBERLY, I hope it gets a lot of support also. Freedom is not Free and these guys have given a lot so we can be free.
DUANE, We keep having afternoon thunderstorms but hopefully this day will be clear of those.
SHIRLEY, It is a wonderful program. They do a lot for our Veterans who are in need.
LINDA, If you decide to come down I will meet you there. Just let me know.
GARY, I am blessed that our son is chasing bad guys with a computer and a mouse. I can see changes in him from seeing things he shouldn't be seeing at such a young age.
DALE, what branch of the service were you in? Our son is in the Army?
Wow Marchel, what a wonderful idea and a great way to show appreciation to those who've served. I would be a teary mess, I get choked up just thanking anyone serving in the miliary. Wish I could be there!
Marchel, I'll keep your son in my prayers. It is sad to think how many young men are growing up way faster because of the war. At the same time, it is sad to think how spoiled some others are that have never made the sacrifice to serve their country. I hope the event for the Veterans is very successful. It is sad to think that there are homeless veterans. It is because of our vets that we enjoy the freedoms that we do.
Hi Marchel,
A great event to show appreciation for these Vets to whom we owe so much and will never be able to thank enough.
Hey Marchel! This looks so excellent. Will you go? How's your son doing? We have not heard from Danny for a while...we think no news is good news.
Later in the rain~Deb
Marchel, this has to be special. It makes me sad to think of homeless vets. What a shame! At least thee are programs like this for them. ;-)
What a neat event, I bet many of those Vets will love the company...great way to bring people together!

Marchele...
