The bluebonnets at The Woodlands Village of Creeside Park's bluebonnet meadow are in full bloom. Take your family and your camera to Creekside Park for some spectacular bluebonnets. Unless we took a road trip I have usually just seen a few bluebonnets here and there but Creekside Park in The Woodlands took care of that for us with their bluebonnet meadow.
You will find the bluebonnet meadow at Rob Fleming Park. Rob Fleming park is a 20 acre park located within The Village of Creekside Park. The park has a Craftsman style Lodge, tree lined promenade, children's playground, wildlife sculpture trail and a trailhead to the George Mitchell Nature Preserve.
Creekside Park features a mixture of home styles and builders. The homebuilders include Wilshire Homes, Village Builders, Trendmaker Homes, Plantation Homes, Highland Homes, David Weekly Homes, Darling Homes and Chesmar Homes. . The homes range in price from $200,000 to $700,000. The sizes of the homes range from 2200 square feet to almost 5000. Amenities vary and can include 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, game rooms, studies, media rooms, three-car tandem garages and port chochere.
Please note that Creekside Park is in the new section of The Woodlands that is in Northwest Harris County. It is located just south of Spring Creek between Gosling and Kuykendahl. The main entrance is located on Gosling Road but you may also get to the village from Kukendahl road also. When finished the village will cover 3,492 acres and they are planning for 7,100 residences. Within this 1,850 acres will be used for park-lands and green-space. As you can see it is becoming a very popular place to go for seeing those bluebonnets.

Marchel - I continue to be enchanted by your Texas Bluebonnets. I anxious to see them one day.
The Texas Blubonnets are so pretty. Its great to see a large area, especially if there is a light breeze.

GARY, Spring has happened in Spring. In actuality The Woodlands up until recently was a Spring mailing but they recently have become their own entity.
TERI, I love our long growing season. When we lived in Colorado we could not plant until the middle of May and it would often freeze by mid September.
DALE, It is a good thing to have a bluebonnet meadow within 5 minutes from my house. Way too cool!
MYRL, Until moving to Texas we had never seen a bluebonnet. We came from Kansas and Colorado so they must not have them.
JOHN, They are beautiful in a large meadow. It was hard to get a picture without people; these are being enjoyed!! I have had a busy year so far and then of course was side tracked with getting our son home WOO HOO!!
DIANE, I had never put the bluebonnets and bluebonnet margarine toghether. That would be interesting to find out.
I wish we had some of these in our area.....they are just beautiful. I guess we will have to settle for tulips, pansies and azaleas (which are pretty colorful too) :)
Marchel what a large field of bluebonnets. Remember when we had the wildflower contest last year and Bluebonnets were hard to find? I remember Ricki taking some close up photo's of Bluebonnets showing us some Texas Size Bluebonnets saying everything grows bigger in Texas. If I remember correctly they were not real Bluebonnets. Thanks for sharing.
ANN, I never saw a bluebonnet until moving to Texas. A whole field of them blooming is breathtaking. I do miss the tulips though. Our soil is too warm for tulips so the only way you can have them is to plant them every year which NO WAY. So long story short enjoy those tulips!!
CARL, I don't know if you remember this but I never did find those bluebonnets last year. I called Liz the other day to tel her that I had my bluebonnet pictures (better late than never right). She was doing pretty good but taking it easy.
You mentioned in your other post that you didn't know what Lady Bird did, since you came to TX after her term as First Lady of TX. She had all of the medians on the interstate, highways and byways planted with wildflowers. After that, the flowers handled it themselves, (with a little help from the bees!). I'm guessing the developers scattered a few seeds for this field, but as you know, bluebonnets are pretty prolific! Your photos make me miss the bluebonnets just a teensy bit, as we won't have our lupines for a few months!
Nice shots of the bluebonnets! I use to live in Conroe (left in 1993) and loved this time of year when the bluebonnets and indian paint brush bloomed and filled the countryside with color!
